Microbiological sampling with DipSlide paddle tester

• As part of the Bugwise School education package, one aim is to familiarize students with microbiological sampling, and the analysis of the results. Sampling is easy to do with one of the microbiological rapid tests. The vast majority of these rapid tests are easy to use, and safe, so students are able to take a microbiological sample themselves.
• The DipSlide test was selected as the rapid test in the original Bugwise School info package. The DipSlide test is non-toxic, safe, and easy to use. After sampling, the paddle test sticks can be stored at room temperature, no special conditions or equipment is needed.
• As part of the Bugwise School entirety, the info packages were distributed to all 5th graders of the city of Rauma. These packages included DipSlide paddle test sticks for one sampling.
• If you want to repeat the sampling for example in the next year with a new class of 5th graders, or if your class familiarizes itself to the bug wisdom directly with this online kit, you need to order DipSlide rapid tests by yourself.
• You could enquire after DipSlide rapid tests from the local environmental laboratory, or you could order them directly from a distributor/manufacturer. For example, Finnish Labema Ltd provides DipSlide tests. Similar rapid tests could also be found from other suppliers, with the keywords microbiological rapid test or paddle tester.
